Ömer Faruk CAPUR

Software engineer building reliable product systems with Go and TypeScript—and exploring how credentials should work for humans, applications and AI agents.

At CHECK24, I ship production-critical travel features across backend services and web applications. Outside work, I am building Keepid—a local-first credential platform focused on strong encryption, hardware-backed authentication and context-aware authorization.

Software Developer

Leipzig, Germany · Hybrid, full-time

Own production-critical features from concept to release on CHECK24’s travel booking platform across Search, Hotel, Flight, Extras, Summary, and Checkout — including the product surfaces on flug-unterkunft.check24.de.

  • Delivered full-stack work across six core booking domains in a complex high-traffic platform
  • Defined Protocol Buffer interfaces for Go/gRPC services in a domain-driven architecture (MySQL, Redis, AWS)
  • Integrated a new flight provider and shipped it via a cross-team joint release into a live split test with about +30% provider-related revenue signal
  • Expanded tracking, monitoring, and observability with Grafana, Kibana, and Sentry
  • Improved web-app performance (SSR, caching, prefetching, lazy images, history/state) toward native iOS/Android CVO levels
  • Built and optimized a shared web app for browser and iOS/Android WebViews embedded as CHECK24 app plugins
  • Introduced Playwright E2E coverage for critical booking flows and cut manual test effort by over 80%
  • Modernized frontend architecture from Next.js toward Remix for maintainability, SSR, and release stability
  • Coordinated with product, UX/UI, backend, and multiple CHECK24 teams in an ~40-person agile product organization
  • Owned a large supplier integration epic for the travel booking platform, aligning product, reliability, and multi-channel delivery requirements.

  • Helped deliver a chatbot integration for the travel team as part of a broader company initiative.

  • Continuously improved performance, quality, and operational ownership on a high-traffic travel comparison and booking platform.

Full Stack Development Bootcamp

Online · Full-time

Completed a rigorous 12-month full-time Full Stack Development Bootcamp at Clarusway GmbH — an industry-oriented curriculum covering frontend, backend, databases, authentication, cloud basics, agile teamwork, and production delivery. The program was decisive in building a strong engineering foundation before joining CHECK24.

  • Trained full-time for 12 months on HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Git, REST APIs, and collaborative delivery practices
  • Built, reviewed, and deployed 40+ web applications through progressive curriculum modules and team sprints
  • Led ~95% of backend work on the MERN capstone Volunteerium (volunteerium.com), including auth, realtime Socket.IO features, S3 media, and API documentation
  • Owned ~40% of the frontend including admin panel flows, Google OAuth, and reCAPTCHA
  • Practiced code reviews, debugging, BRD/ERD planning, Figma handoff, and release readiness in a seven-person cohort
  • Career-transition capstone: a seven-person, three-month MERN team product. Early proof of backend ownership (~95%), auth, realtime, and shipping a live platform—not a claim of current production engineering level.

About

Background, languages, and how I got here.

I studied dentistry before choosing software. After moving to Germany, I reached German C2 (certified), completed an intensive full-stack bootcamp at Clarusway, and joined CHECK24 Vergleichsportal GmbH in Leipzig as a Full Stack Software Developer. I ship features end to end across booking domains, care about performance and observability, and am building Keepid as independent proof of security and systems thinking.
